Humi-Zyme Plus™ is a better
version of the best fertilizer product in the world!
Humi-Zyme Plus™ is the basic Humi-Zyme™, but with 8 types of Micorrhizae: 5
endomicorrhizae and 3 ectomicorrhizae added. These are the "fungus roots"
that healthy plants have on their root tips which allow plants to better
absorb nutrients from the soil.
In the
past it did not seem possible to combine Micorrhizae with a fertilizer. This
discovery is a revolutionary development!
Humi-Zyme Plus™ is ideal for lawns and new transplants in particular, and
apparently benefits anything desireable that grows in the soil. This product
is applied at the same rates as regular Humi-Zyme.
The
term Mycor-rhiza literally means "fungus-root" and defines the symbiotic
relationship between a plant root and this beneficial fungus. The fungus
helps deliver nutrients to the plant and the plant in turn feeds the fungus
simple sugars.
Mycorrhizal filaments act as extensions of the plants roots systems,
exponentially expanding the plants ability to absorb nutrients and water. In
one thimbleful of soil surrounding one root tip, there can be 3 miles of
mycorrhizal filaments as are shown in this photo:
Healthy
established plants without stress will not need this product. Plants that are
thriving already have mycorrhizal filaments working for them (which is the
reason they are healthy!). In these cases regular Humi-Zyme-RX™ is the product
to use however, let's step back a minute. Remember that plants feed the
mycorrhizae! At least they do when things are going great. However, when plants
are stressed they stop doing their part. They basically stop feeding the fungus,
and the fungus will fade back which in turn compromises the plant's ability to
feed and you have a spiraling effect.
So, what is
stressful to plants? Well, how about weather...too hot, or too cold, too wet, or
too dry. Or... newly planted, insect infested, or too close to a major road.
Or...pesticides applied or in the ground water and I could go on and on...
Putting naturally stress relieving Humi-Zyme-RX(tm) together with Mycorrhizae
and the additional mineral pack is the perfect solution to plant stress. Use it
when planting any plants, or seeds, and on established plants showing signs of
stress. Houseplants will respond like you will not believe.
Application
rates are the same as regular Humi-Zyme-RX™ . But the application directions are
slightly different. When planting water the hole with the Humi-Zyme-Plus mixture
first, plant and then water again. It is important for the mycorrhizal spores to
contact the plant roots for fast results. For established trees or larger
plants, drive a stake or rod into the ground in different places in the root
zone. Pour the diluted mixture into the hole again to allow root contact. If
poking holes is not possible, apply to the soil surface and water heavily to
soak the material to the rootzone. |
